Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Let's Decide uses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Information we use
- Account information: your name, email address, account identifier and authentication information.
- Decision content: decision names, criteria, options, invitation details, deadlines and scores you submit.
- Groups and invitations: names and email addresses you choose to save or invite.
- Device and service information: push-notification tokens, app version and limited technical records needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
- Web participation: if you score from an invitation link without the app, we create a restricted guest identifier and store the name you provide, your invitation status and your submitted scores. You do not need to provide an email address or create a visible account.
Private scoring
For shared decisions, individual participants' scores are kept private from other participants and the decision creator. The app displays the combined team result, not each person's score.
Contacts
You may choose one person using your phone's native contact picker. On Android, Let's Decide asks for permission before opening the native picker; on iPhone, the picker opens without a separate contacts permission prompt. The operating system returns only the contact you choose. Let's Decide uses the selected name and email address to prepare an invitation and does not upload your address book. You can decline contact access and enter an email address manually instead.
AI suggestions
If you ask for AI suggestions, the decision text needed to answer your request—such as its title, criteria, requirements or existing options—is securely sent through our server to Anthropic. Do not include sensitive personal information in an AI request. AI suggestions are optional and should be reviewed before use.
How we use information
We use information to create and synchronise decisions, send invitations and completion notices, calculate combined results, provide optional AI suggestions, prevent abuse, secure accounts, provide support and maintain the service.
Service providers
Let's Decide relies on service providers that process information for us:
- Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, server functions and hosting.
- Expo, Apple and Google for app delivery and push notifications.
- Resend for service emails.
- Anthropic for optional AI-generated suggestions.
We do not sell personal information and the app does not contain third-party advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and decision information while it is needed to provide the service. Restricted web guest records are retained with the shared decision so its combined result remains accurate. You can permanently delete your account inside the app from Profile → Delete Account. This deletes decisions and invitations you own, removes you from other people's decisions and clears account data stored by the app on your device. After submitting, a web guest may choose to sign in to an existing app account and attach that participation and its saved scores to the account. The decision then appears in the app and uses the account’s existing completion notifications. Sign-in credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication; the participation page does not store passwords. A web guest can contact support from the browser participation page to request help with their data. Limited security, legal or backup records may remain only where reasonably necessary.

Your choices
You may decline notifications, avoid the optional contact picker and AI features, hide completed shared decisions from your Home screen, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
Children
Let's Decide is not directed to children under 13, and a person must be at least 13 to create an account or participate through the app or website. If we learn that an account or guest session belongs to a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
